The term "safer sex" describes the system of classifying certain sexual activities according to their risk of transmitting the virus.  Safer sex guidelines are used by people to avoid high-risk behavior without having to give up sexual activity altogether.  Those acts that are defined as ‚Äúsafer‚Äù do not involve the sexual exchange of body fluids like blood, semen, or urine.
